Take charge of your business success and feel confident about QuickBooks. Lee Davis can help.

Lee Davis and client teaching
While most of Lee Davis and Company training is online, in this photo Lee Davis, business coach and Quickbooks ProAdvisor, assists the owner of Chris Bacon Electric with setting up his QuickBooks files to manage his business. More information about three upcoming QuickBooks courses is available online at LeeDavisandCompany.com.

“I wish I knew him three years ago, before I found myself in a mess.” That is a common reaction from business people after taking a QuickBooks training course with Lee Davis, local QuickBooks coach and certified ProAdvisor. Electrician Chris Bacon of Antrim agrees and says, “Lee is a good person to help a small business with QuickBooks and bookkeeping. He’s very patient and understanding and is very good at teaching.”

Lee recognizes the impact QuickBooks can have on an entrepreneur’s success. “Many small businesses lack the expertise necessary to set up their businesses in order to accurately measure their success. My company focuses on QuickBooks as the tool to assist businesses.”

Accounting could seem as pleasant as black fly season but not the way Lee Davis practices. To him, it’s a tool for success. “It starts with getting set up right and following the steps,” Lee asserts. After that, tracking information is easy.

“Once entrepreneurs take our course, they can achieve success.”

The format of the 3-part course has been fine-tuned by Lee and company after teaching 500+ students. The third class is a one-on-one with Lee, during which he can answer questions specific to the individual’s business and actually make entries and fixes in QuickBooks files. This time is the hidden value of the course—an hour consultation like this would cost $100 on its own but is included in the course fee.

Lee has offered his classes through Hannah Grimes Center in Keene for years and is a volunteer advisor there. For four decades, Lee has coached, trained and worked with small companies, from start-up to success to selling the business. Most recently, he helped small businesses find ways to thrive during the pandemic, including applying for SBA funding.

He has written an e-book covering general accounting principles, which students receive when they register. The intent is for each student to start with a familiarity of accounting fundamentals, so the class can focus on using QuickBooks. The 55-page e-book is an accounting tutorial in book form and can be completed in a couple of hours.

Lee describes the programs he offers as, “affordable, easy-to-understand courses with the learner’s needs in mind.” He has confidence based on experience, and says reassuringly, “Once entrepreneurs take our course, they can achieve success.”

The course is ideal for any small business person, non-profit treasurer or entrepreneur. In addition to electricians and landscapers, Lee’s alumni include hair stylists, non-profit executive directors, retail store managers, artists, contractors, restaurant owners, lawyers, medical practice managers, museum directors and many others. What students have in common is that bookkeeping is not their main gig and they’d like to spend as little time and effort on accounting as possible. They’d like to know if they are having a good month or not, running a profitable enterprise or not. They’d like information at their fingertips when they need it and they’d like to be in complete compliance with the Internal Revenue Service/IRS.

Quickbooks training is a key component of Lee Davis’ approach to business coaching. He practices and teaches patience while making QuickBooks understandable and fun. Paula Brissette, owner of Trends of Fashion in Antrim, is pictured in a training session with Lee.

Imagine going from discouraged to calm, from bewildered to competent in three fun, well-organized classes. Lee’s daughter Erica Mcintyre who handles administration and programming explains, “We give you back time so you can crush it at what you love to do.”

For Wikimotive in Peterborough, Lee’s one-two punch of sound business counsel and methodical QuickBooks training has been “invaluable.” Lee Davis was recommended (by his bank) to George Martell, Chief Financial Officer, for two things: Common sense business advice and step-by-step QuickBooks training.“We wanted him to look at what our mess was, help us clean it up and train us so we could get the information we need like balance sheets and expense analysis. He taught me a good deal,” says George. “He doesn’t let you cut corners or take short cuts, which ends up saving time in the long run,” explains Martell. “The cleaner the books are, the better.”

People can register online at LeeDavisandCompany.com and choose one of the sessions. The three-part course costs $199 and is being offered three times: July 13, 20 and 27 from 4:30-7PM; September 14, 21 and 28 from 4:30-7PM; and October 12, 19 and 26 from 4:30-7PM.
